The Planning Board will meet on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
Muzzleloader season is November 29th through December 11th and the cost for a muzzleloader license is $14.00.
ATTENTION: The little winter sand shed by the old barn at the Parkman Town Office is for Parkman residents only. Please limit sand to 2 five-gallon buckets per storm. Thank you!
The Board of Selectmen will meet on Thursday, December 9th at 5:30 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The Parkman Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will meet on Tuesday, December 14th at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office.
The SAD #4 Santa Project is underway. This program provides a warm winter coat, boots, and toys to eligible children in our area. An angel tree is set up at KC’s Country Store where you can pick out a star with a child’s request and shop for that. Donations can be made by check to the Parkman Grange, PO Box 114, Guilford, ME 04443, memo line: Santa project. The distribution will be on Sunday, December 19, 2021, from 10:00 a.m. to Noon at the Parkman Grange.
As of October 1, 2021, all 2021 unpaid property taxes are accruing interest at 6%.
Sonia Sanborn is no longer the Animal Control Officer for the Town of Parkman. Until a new Animal Control Officer is hired, please contact Dennis Brawn Jr. at 944-0880.
The Bicentennial Committee has Town of Parkman hooded sweatshirts available for purchase at the Parkman Town Office. They are $25.00 each.
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Friday, December 24th in observance of Christmas.
The Transfer Station is open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Please have your Transfer Station sticker visible to the attendants inside of your vehicle. If you do not have a sticker, please contact the Town Office at 876-3730. Please note that the Transfer Station will be CLOSED on Saturday, December 25th in observance of Christmas, but will be open on Sunday, December 26th from 8:00 a.m. to Noon.
Just a friendly reminder that all dogs six months and older must be licensed by January 31, 2021, or a state mandated $25.00 late fee will apply. The fee for a male/female is $11.00, and $6.00 for a spayed or neutered dog.
Proof of insurance is required to register all vehicles. The Town Office accepts electronic proof of insurance, or you can have your insurance agent fax proof to 876-9704 or email proof to townofparkman@yahoo.com.
The 2022 snowmobile registration and stickers are now available. The fees have increased. The fee for a renewal is $56.00, and $57.00 for new registrations. Non-resident snowmobile registrations are $120.00, non-resident 3-Day is $75.00, and a non-resident 10-Day is $100.00. Inland Fisheries and Wildlife requires patrons to bring in a valid driver’s license or State ID when obtaining a snowmobile registration.
White’s Family Redemption WINTER HOURS: Open Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., Closed Sunday and Monday. They are located on the Crow Hill Road in Parkman. 876-2681.
The Bicentennial Committee has 2022 Calendars for sale at the Parkman Town Office and at KC’s Country Store. They are $15.00 each and all proceeds go to the 200th Celebration for the Town of Parkman scheduled for Saturday, July 23, 2022.
If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730. The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.
Fire permits can be obtained at KC’s Country Store from Pam Sukis: 876-4111, and from Danny White at 85 Crow Hill Road: 876-2681.
When doing a private sale, if there are two names on the prior title you must have both signatures on the back of the title to register the vehicle. If you are doing a title in two names at the time of registration, both parties must be present to sign the title in front of the clerk.
The Parkman Baptist Church holds worship services every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend. They will have a candlelight Christmas Eve Service on Friday, December 24th at 6:00 p.m.
The 2022 Hunting/Fishing Licenses are available for purchase at the Parkman Town Office. Inland Fisheries and Wildlife requires patrons to bring in a valid driver’s license or unexpired State ID when obtaining a Hunting/Fishing License so please keep this in mind if you are getting one as a Christmas gift.
The Bicentennial Committee will not meet until after the New Year. Stay tuned to January’s newsletter for the exact date.
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Friday, December 31, 2021, in observance of New Years. We hope everyone has a safe and Happy New Year!
The fee for a marriage license is $40.00. Marriage applications are valid 90 days from issue. Both the bride and groom must sign the application in the presence of a clerk at the Parkman Town Office. If this is not your first marriage, please bring in a copy of your divorce decree or a death certificate when completing the application. Please note that you must call the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730 to schedule an appointment to obtain your marriage license.
The books for the Town of Parkman close on Monday, January 31, 2021, at 5:00 p.m. Property taxes unpaid at that time will appear in the annual Town Report. Any requests to the Selectmen for articles in the warrant for the annual Town Meeting must be received by January 31, 2021.
