The Parkman Grange will meet on Tuesday, May 2nd at 5:00 p.m. at the Parkman Grange Hall. Anyone interested in helping with community events is invited to attend. For more information, please contact Sue Manchester at 277-3942.
The Transfer Station will be open on Wednesdays beginning May 3, 2023, from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. They are also open on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Please have your sticker visible to the attendants inside of your vehicle.
The Planning Board will meet on Thursday, May 4th at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The Board of Selectmen will meet on Thursday, May 11th and Thursday, May 25th at 5:30 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The Parkman Grange is having their 21st Mother’s Day Tea on Saturday, May 13th from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. The guest of honor this year is Kylee Coburn. Tea fare, sandwiches, and sweet treats will be served. Emma Calnan and Julie Harrington will provide the entertainment. There will be plenty of door prizes given away, and there will be a 50/50 raffle. The cost is $5.00 per person. Seating is limited to this very popular event. Reservations are required and can be made by calling Sue at 277-3942.
The Parkman Prowler’s ATV Club is looking to start back up as a club. There will be an informational meeting on Monday, May 15th at 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. All interested are urged to attend. Refreshments will be provided.
The Moose permit applications are available online at www.maine.gov/ifw. The deadline for completion is by 11:59 p.m. on May 15, 2023. The Moose lottery drawing will be held in June of 2023.
The Town of Parkman will be having Clean-up Days on Wednesday, May 17th and Saturday, May 20, 2023. There will be NO CHARGE for Demo at the Transfer Station on these two days. You must have your Transfer Station sticker visible to the attendants.
Building permits are available at the Parkman Town Office.

The 2023 boat registrations are available. If you are registering a boat for the first time, you will need a bill of sale or proof of sales tax paid at a dealer at time of registration. Registration is based on length of the boat and horsepower. Boats DO NOT require a title.

The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Monday, May 29th in observance of Memorial Day.
The SAD #4 District Budget Meeting will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. in the PCES cafeteria. There will be an informational meeting at 6:30 p.m. in the PCES cafeteria for citizens to have the proposed budget explained and to ask questions.
The Board of Selectmen of the Town of Parkman are accepting bids for the Snow Plow Contract for the Town of Parkman. Each bid must be in writing and in a sealed envelope marked “Snow Plow Bid” on the outside. All bids must be received by the Selectmen no later than Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. Late bids will not be opened or considered. Description of contract is available at the Parkman Town Office. This is a 3-year bid with the option to renew for another 2 years. Bids will be opened and reviewed by the Selectmen at the Town Office on June 7th at 5:30 p.m. The Board of Selectmen reserve the right to reject any and all bids.
The Sangerville Food Cupboard (Universalist Unitarian Church) is open the first and third Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. All are welcome. They are located at the corner of Church and Main Street in downtown Sangerville. For more information, please call 277-4221.
If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730. The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.
ATV registrations are now available. The cost for a renewal is $71.00 and for a new registration $72.00. ATV’s DO NOT require a title. If you are registering an ATV for the first time, please bring in a bill of sale or proof of sales tax paid at a dealer.
The Parkman Baptist Church holds worship services every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
Proof of insurance is required to register all vehicles. The Town Office accepts electronic proof of insurance, or you can have your insurance agent fax proof to 876-9704 or email proof to townofparkman@yahoo.com.
Minnie Bridge Scholarship applications are available at the Parkman Town Office. This $500 scholarship is for 2nd year higher education students in the SAD #4 area. Please mail completed applications and all required materials to the Parkman Grange, PO BOX 114, Guilford, ME 04443 or drop them off at the Parkman Town Office. The deadline is July 14, 2023.
When doing a private sale, if there are two names on the prior title you must have both signatures on the back of the title to register the vehicle. If you are doing a title in two names at the time of registration, both parties must be present to sign the title in front of the clerk. Please note that when doing a private sale, a 1995 to current year vehicle will need a title indefinitely.
The fee for a marriage license is $40.00. Marriage applications are valid 90 days from issue. Both the bride and groom must sign the application in the presence of a clerk at the Parkman Town Office. If this is not your first marriage, please bring in a copy of your divorce decree or a death certificate when completing the application. Please note that you must call the Parkman Town Office at 876-3730 to schedule an appointment to obtain your marriage license.
The SAD #4 Budget Referendum will be held on Tuesday, June 13, 2023. Polls will be open 8:00 a.m to 8:00 p.m. Voting will take place in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. Absentee ballots will be available at the Parkman Town Office.
White’s Family Redemption is open Tuesday through Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. They are closed Sunday and Monday. They are located on the Crow Hill Road in Parkman. They can be reached at 876-2681. Please note that during the month of May, Danny might not be available to count bottles until noon.
