The 2% discount on the 2025 property tax bills for the Town of Parkman ends on Friday, August 1, 2025 (postmarked that date will be accepted as well). Interest of 7.5% will begin accruing starting October 1, 2025.
The Parkman Prowlers ATV Club will meet on Monday, August 4th at 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. The meeting will be followed by a potluck dinner. Membership forms will be available. All are welcome to attend.
The Parkman Grange will meet on Tuesday, August 5th at 5:00 p.m. at the Parkman Grange Hall. All are welcome to attend.
The Planning Board will meet on Thursday, August 7th at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSING at 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 13th for staff to attend an online dog licensing training.
The Board of Selectmen will meet on Thursday, August 14th and Thursday, August 28th at 5:30 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.

The Historical Society will have their annual cookout on Sunday, August 17th at 5:00 p.m. at the home of Keith and Ethel Swartley, 375 State Hwy 150 in Parkman. Bring a friend and something to share.

The first day of school for SAD #4 is Wednesday, August 27th for pre-k through freshman. Sophomores through Seniors start on Thursday, August 28, 2025.
The Transfer Station is open on Wednesdays from 3:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Please have your Transfer Station sticker visible to the attendants.

Proof of insurance is required to register all vehicles. The Town Office accepts electronic proof of insurance, or you can have your agent email proof to townofparkman@yahoo.com, or fax to (207) 876-9704.
The Recovery Wellness Community Center is open Tuesday through Friday 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. They are located at 20 Douty Hill Road in Sangerville. They offer all recovery meetings. They are having a Color Fun Walk on Sunday, August 31, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Piscataquis Golf Course/Country Club.

Fire permits can be obtained at KC’s Country Store: (207) 876-4111 and from Danny White at 85 Crow Hill Road: (207) 876-2681. Please do not call Danny White before 8:00 a.m. to obtain a fire permit.
If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at (207) 876-3730. The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.

Building permits are available at the Parkman Town Office.
The fee for a marriage license is $40.00. Marriage applications are valid 90 days from issue. Both the bride and groom must sign the application in the presence of a clerk at the Parkman Town Office. If this is not your first marriage, please bring in a copy of your divorce decree or a death certificate when completing the application. Please note that you must call the Parkman Town Office at (207) 876-3730 to schedule an appointment to obtain your marriage license.
The SAD #4 Budget Validation Referendum that was held in July did not pass for the second time. We will keep everyone updated on the date of the new vote once we know. Look on our website (www.parkmanmaine.com) and Facebook periodically as that is where we will post the information.
The Cambridge Community Clothes Closet is open the first and third Wednesday of each month from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the first and third Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. There will not be school for SAD #4 on Monday, September 1, 2025.

The Sangerville Food Cupboard (Universalist Unitarian Church) is open the first and third Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. All are welcome. They are located at the corner of Church and Main Street in downtown Sangerville. For more information, please call (207) 277-4221.
The Parkman Baptist Church holds worship services every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
When doing a private sale, if there are two names on the prior title you must have both signatures on the back of the title to register the vehicle. If you are doing a title in two names at time of registration, both parties must be present to sign the title in front of the clerk. Please note that vehicles with a model year of 1999 and older are exempt from a certificate of title.
The Parkman Town Office is requesting that you bring in your previous registration every time you renew a vehicle registration. The Pine Tree plates are available, as well as the No Tree Plates for passenger vehicles. If you have a vehicle that runs out May 2025 on, you will receive the new plate at time of registration. If you have a vehicle that runs out January through April, then in 2026 you get a new plate when you re-register your vehicle during its run out month. If you reserved your plate number through www.maine.gov/online/reservemyplate, please bring in your new license plate along wit the letter you receive with the plates at time of registration. When coming in to register anything in the MOSES system (Boats, ATV’s, Hunting/Fishing licenses) please bring in your previous registration or license. This ensures that the correct registration is being done. You will also need to bring in your current driver’s license or unexpired State ID at time of registration.
Please note that it is unlawful to register an oversized ATV in Maine. An ATV is considered oversized if it exceeds 65 inches in width/and or weighs more than 2,000 pounds, based on the manufacturer's specifications.
