As of October 1, 2025, all unpaid 2025 property taxes are accruing interest of 7.5%.
The SAD #4 Budget Meeting will be held on Wednesday, October 1st in the PCES cafeteria. The informational meeting where citizens can ask questions and have the budget explained starts at 6:30 p.m. with the budget meeting starting at 7:00 p.m.
The Planning Board will meet on Thursday, October 2nd at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
The Parkman Historical Society will meet on Sunday, October 5th at 2:00 p.m. at the home of Sue Griffith, 433 North Dexter Road in Parkman. The Historical Society is planning for a 2026 calendar to document town’s surviving barns. For more information, please email Sue at 2018sueg@gmail.com. All are welcome to attend and encouraged to bring pictures of surviving town barns.
The Parkman Prowlers ATV Club will meet on Monday, October 6th at 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. The meeting will be followed by a potluck dinner. All are welcome to attend.
The Parkman Grange will meet on Tuesday, October 7th at 5:00 p.m. at the Parkman Grange Hall. All are welcome to attend.
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Wednesday, October 8th and Thursday, October 9th so staff can attend the annual MMA Convention.
The Transfer Station is no longer open on Wednesdays. They are open Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Please have your Transfer Station sticker visible to the attendants.
SAD #4 will have an early release day on Thursday, October 9th (11:30 a.m. dismissal time), no school on Friday, October 10th (Teacher Workshop), and no school on Monday, October 13th (Indigenous People Day).
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Monday, October 13th in observance of Indigenous Peoples Day.
White’s Family Redemption will be CLOSED the week of October 13th for a moose hunt. Please check their Facebook page for updates because if they get a moose, they may be open some that week. They are open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. They are closed on Sunday and Monday. They can be reached at (207) 876-2681 for questions and to call ahead. The 2026 Dog Licenses will be available on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The fee for a male/female is $11.00, and $6.00 for a spayed or neutered dog. All dogs six months old and older must be licensed by January 31, 2026, or a $25.00 fee will apply. Reminder letters will go out in the mail in October for those who registered last year. If you are registering your dog for the first time, we will need the current rabies certificate, proof of sterilization if applicable, microchip information and manufacturer if microchipped, and basic information about the dog (date of birth, color, breed, etc).
The SAD #4 District Budget Validation Referendum will be held on Tuesday, October 14, 2025. Polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Voting will take place in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. Absentee ballots will be available at the Parkman Town Office. The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED for business on Election Day.
Please join the Parkman Grange on Thursday, October 16th from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Parkman Grange Hall for their first game event. They will have cribbage and card games. They hope to see you there!
The Parkman Trailblazers Snowmobile Club will tentatively meet on Tuesday, October 21st at 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office.
The Board of Selectmen will meet on Thursday, October 23rd at 5:30 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office. There will be a public hearing at 5:30 p.m. to discuss the adoption of the local General Assistance Ordinance and yearly Appendices.
Youth Hunting will take place on Friday, October 24th and Saturday, October 25, 2025. Hunting with firearms begins on Saturday, November 1st for Maine residents and Monday, November 3rd for all hunters. The last day of hunting season for firearms is November 29, 2025.

Fire permits can be obtained from Pam Sukis at KC’s Country Store (207) 876-4111 and from Danny White at 85 Crow Hill Road: (207) 876-2681. Please do not call Danny White before 8:00 a.m. to obtain a fire permit.
If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at (207) 876-3730. The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.
The Parkman Baptist Church holds worship services every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
Please note that it is unlawful to register an oversized ATV in Maine. An ATV is considered oversized if it exceeds in width/and or weighs more than 2,000 pounds, based on the manufacturer’s specifications.

The Parkman Prowlers ATV Club has laminated trail maps available for purchase at the Parkman Town Office and KC’s Country Store for $3.00 each.
The Cambridge Community Clothes Closet is open the first and third Wednesday of each month from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the first and third Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. They are in the basement of the Cambridge Baptist Church, 9 North Road in Cambridge. All clothing is free. For more information, please call (207) 277-3234.
When coming in to register anything in the MOSES system (Boats, ATV’s, Snowmobiles, Hunting/Fishing licenses) please bring in your previous registration or license. This ensures that the correct registration is being done. You will also need to bring in your current driver’s license or unexpired State ID at time of registration.
The Parkman Grange will be doing the SAD #4 Santa Project. Applications will be available in early October through the SAD #4 schools, at the Parkman Town Office, and at the bulletin board on the porch of the Parkman Grange Hall. This program provides winter coats, boots, and toys to local kids. The deadline for applications will be November 12, 2025.

The Sangerville Food Cupboard (Universalist Unitarian Church) is open the first and third Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. All are welcome. They are located at the corner of Church and Main Street in downtown Sangerville. For more information, please call (207) 277-4221.
When doing a private sale, if there are two names on the prior title you must have both signatures on the back of the title to register the vehicle. If you are doing a title in two names at time of registration, both parties must be present to sign the title in front of the clerk. Please note that vehicles with a model year of 1999 and older are exempt from a certificate of title. Please bring in your previous registration every time you renew a vehicle registration.
