As of October 1, 2026, all unpaid 2026 property taxes are accruing interest of 7%.
The Planning Board will meet on Thursday, October 1st at 6:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
Please help clean up the cemetery by removing plants and pots and all artificial flowers by October 2nd.
The Parkman Prowlers ATV Club will meet on Monday, October 5th at 5:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. This is a potluck meeting, and all are welcome to attend.
The Parkman Grange will meet on Tuesday, October 6th at 5:00 p.m. at the Parkman Grange Hall. All are welcome to attend.
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Wednesday, October 7th and Thursday, October 8th so staff can attend the annual MMA Convention.
SAD#4 will have an early release day on Thursday, October 8th (11:30 a.m. dismissal time), no school on Friday, October 9th (Teacher Workshop), and no school on Monday, October 12th (Indigenous Peoples’ Day).
The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED on Monday, October 12th in observance of Indigenous Peoples’ Day.

The 2027 Dog Licenses will be available on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The fee for a male/female is $11.00, and $6.00 for a spayed or neutered dog. All dogs six months old and older must be licensed by January 31, 2027, or a $25.00 fee will apply. Reminder letters will go out in the mail for those who registered last year. If you are registering your dog for the first time, we will need the current rabies certificate, proof of sterilization if applicable, microchip information and manufacturer if microchipped, and basic information about the dog (date of birth, color, breed, etc).
The Parkman Historical Society will meet on Friday, October 16th at 5:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. This is a supper meeting, and all are welcome to attend. Come with stories about early snowfalls. Last month they shared homemade sauce and salad from their Spring seed sale. If there is time after their supper discussion, they will move onto the business of their 2027 calendar sale, which will feature photos from Parkman’s Shelby Taylor! They are still collecting local recipes and bios and compiling other calendar themes as well.
The Board of Selectmen will meet on Thursday, October 22nd at 5:00 p.m. in the library of the Parkman Town Office. There will be a public hearing at 5:00 p.m. to discuss the adoption of the local General Assistance Ordinance and yearly Appendices. This will take place in the library of the Parkman Town Office.
White’s Family Redemption is open Tuesday through Saturday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., closed Sunday and Monday. They are located at 85 Crow Hill Road in Parkman. Please call (207) 876-2681 with any questions. Please note that they will be CLOSED Saturday, October 24th through Monday, November 2nd for a moose hunt.
Youth Hunting will take place on Friday, October 23rd and Saturday, October 24, 2026. Hunting with firearms begins on Saturday, October 31st for Maine residents and Monday, November 2nd for all hunters. The last day of hunting season for firearms is November 28, 2026.
The Town of Parkman will host the second annual Trunk or Treat on Saturday, October 31st from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. If you would like to participate with a trunk or a table, please call the Town Office at (207) 876-3730 to reserve your spot.

The Transfer Station is open on Saturdays from 8:00 a.m. to Noon. Please have your Transfer Station sticker visible to the attendants. The re-use building at the Transfer Station is for personal use only. It is not meant for resale.
The Parkman Baptist Church holds worship services every Sunday at 10:00 a.m. All are welcome to attend.
The fee for a returned check at the Parkman Town Office is $35.00 per check.
Proof of insurance is required to register all vehicles. The Town Office accepts electronic proof of insurance, or you can have your agent email proof to townofparkman@yahoo.com, or fax to (207) 876-9704.
If you need a certified copy of a birth, death, or marriage certificate please call ahead to the Parkman Town Office at (207) 876-3730. The fee is $15.00 for one copy, and $6.00 for any additional copies of the same record requested at the same time.
The Cambridge Community Clothes Closet is open the first and third Wednesday of each month from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and the first and third Saturday of each month from 9:00 a.m. to Noon. The Sangerville Food Cupboard (Universalist Unitarian Church) is open the first and third Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. All are welcome. They are located at the corner of Church and Main Street in downtown Sangerville. For more information, please call (207) 277-4221.
Please note that it is unlawful to register an oversized ATV in Maine. An ATV is considered oversized if it exceeds in width/and or weighs more than 2,000 pounds, based on the manufacturer's specifications.

When registering anything in the MOSES system (ATV’s, boats, snowmobiles, recreational license) please bring in your prior registration and a valid driver’s license/unexpired State ID at time of registration.

When doing a private sale, if there are two names on the prior title you must have both signatures on the back of the title to register the vehicle If you are doing a title in two names at time of registration, both parties must be present to sign the title in front of the clerk. Please note that vehicles with a model year of 2000 and older are exempt from a certificate of title.
The Parkman Grange will be doing to SAD#4 Santa Project. Applications will be sent out from the school in early October and available on the bulletin board on the porch of the Parkman Grange Hall. This project helps families with winter coats, boots, and toys. This is for newborns to high school seniors in the SAD #4 school area. Deadline for applications is November 13, 2026.

The General Election will be held on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, in the lower level of the Parkman Town Office. Polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Absentee ballots will be available at the Parkman Town Office. The Parkman Town Office will be CLOSED for business on Election Day.
